Introduction to the City

This walk often surprises those who are familiar with London – but not its history. It’s a gentle stroll through the streets and alley-ways which are much quieter at the weekend so you won’t be up against the noise and bustle of daily city life. Starting at Liverpool Street Station we trace the history of the City since Roman times moving on to the Bank of England, the Royal Exchange, Cheapside and then on to Guildhall before finishing at St Paul’s Cathedral and the new shopping arcades of the 21st century.
